Short Introduction To Vajra Yogini

Vajra Yogini is the principal female yidam of highest Yoga Tantra of New Translation Schools of Tibetan Buddhism. She belongs to 'Wisdom Class' of Anuttara Yoga Tantra. She is also called the "Wisdom Goddess" who cuts through the initiate's ignorance and severes him/her from all the hindering attachments. She is one instrumental deity in number of important initiations.
Vajra Yogini is slightly wrathful, red in color with three eyes and is holding a curved knife(kartika) with a vajra handle in her right hand and a skull cup in her left hand and Khatvanga(trident & staff) with vajra tip in her left elbow.
