Vajrakilaya is also known as Vajra Kumara (Vajra Youth). Vajrakilaya is the embodiement of activities of the Buddha mind from set of Eight Herukas (Tib. Ka Gye) of Mahayoga Tantras of the Nyingmapa. Vajrakilaya is a significant Vajrayana deity to transmute and trascend obstacles and obsecurations. Guru Padmasambhava before practicing Yangdag Heruka practiced Vajrakilaya to clear all the obsecurations and obstacles. According to Dilgo Khyentse Vajrakilaya is the wrathful form of Vajrapani.
